Because Names In Lights products are made to order we are only able to accept returns if the item is defective or damaged.
Our products carry a one year guarantee against electrical failure.
Our products come supplied with a complimentary USB to mains adapter (to the UK only), allowing you to plug your light into the wall or the USB port of a PC.
Our products are not suitable for direct connection to mains without a USB adapter.
Our products are suitable for indoor use only.
Names in Lights products are robust and well made but they are not toys.
Our resin light filters will last for years if you follow three simple rules:
Do not situate in direct sunlight – even though we add a UV filter direct sunlight may make them yellow over time.
Handle with care, by the base or frame.
Clean (letters, balloons, frames and bases) with a soft, lint-free cloth and silicone or wax based furniture polish. Do not use solvents.
We supply our products with free signed for delivery and a free USB adapter to the UK only. The value of this is deducted from the cost of delivery to anywhere outside the UK.
If using multiple USB devices, it is wise to check the output capacity of your PC or laptop. Names In Lights operate at 5v / <500ma.

Names in Lights
Names In Lights are made by sculptor Jill Bonner and electrical technician John Blackburn at their studios in the North West of England. As well as Name Lights and “Air Bears” lights, we work on individual and bespoke pieces. As well as leds and oak, we work with electro luminescent wire, driftwood, other hardwoods, one way mirror etc. Contact us if you have a special project that you would like us to design and make for you.
About Our Led Lights
The "Names In Light" letters and the balloon shade on the “Air Bears” light are hand cast in clear resin, using our own handmade moulds. We use a special layering technique to give them a crystal effect. Our shades blend and refract the coloured lights, giving a delightful, ever changing and uplifting rainbow of light. They are lit with colour change leds, which draw very little power (<500ma (milliamps) at 5v (volts)), making them both economical and safe.
We make our bases and frames from sustainably sourced English Oak in our own workshop. They are hand finished with Bison wax, so that they look, feel and smell wonderful.
