Presently Thinking Ltd is a small company based in rural Leicestershire. No industrial leviathan us – just the two of us beavering away trying to earn an honest living – and to feed our wives and children! We are very keen to keep it natural – and this is why our planter boxes are handmade of the most natural of materials. New wood, sourced from suppliers who conform to the FSC (Forestry Stewardship Council) code of practice – and a manufacturing process that respects the tradition of woodworking. No nails or screws – just craftsman cut dovetail joints, and these are glued together. If you are not familiar with this form of construction then you need to know that it is tremendously strong! Our boxes last and last – and they don’t warp or split apart – they can’t - because of the dovetail jointing. Similar planter boxes that are “nail gunned” together all too often suffer this fate, because water can enter so easily. And everything really is manufactured here in Leicestershire – not in China or Hong Kong!
