Would you like to commission me to design and make a unique hand crafted playmat using patchwork, applique and hand embroidery, that is based on a theme that is special to your child?
 
The ideas for both boys and girls are endless, what about a Racing Track, Space, Pirates, Fairies, Princesses, Zoo....... I will create the scenes in a combination of hand applique and hand embroidery using a variety of felts, threads and fabrics as appropriate to the theme.  I use 100% high quality quilting cotton with a choice of bamboo, cotton or recycled polyester wadding. Trimmings can include ribbons and ric-rac, and I can use buttons if you wish.
 
The photos show recently commissioned examples: a Teddy Bear's Picnic theme with a  magical forest and a Thatched Cottage with pockets for dolls or teddies to go to bed. They also show some close ups from other playmats I've made.   These photos are for illustration only, and these exact play mats are not for sale - I will work with you by message and email to create a new design based on your chosen theme.
 
I offer these playmats in a choice of 2 different sizes - usually square but I can do other shapes such as rectangular or circles on request.

• SMALL - approximately 30 by 30 inches


• LARGE - approximately 40 by 40 inches
