My name is Louise O'Prey and I launched Twisted Trinkets in 2009, selling on the road and travelling between bikers rallies, folk festivals and the like during the summer. It's a great chance to see the range up close & personal & I'm always on hand to discuss any specific requirements - I love a commission! My Facebook page is the best place to find out where/when my stall will be making an appearance.
I've been making jewellery since 2004 and continue to learn new techniques to incorporate into my designs. Now, with my maker's mark registered with the London Assay Office for hallmarking, I will gradually introduce more sterling silver lines, but will always continue to offer items formed using different metals, such as aluminium, brass, bronze and copper, as I love the way different metals work and how their look changes over time.
I specialise in providing alternative jewellery, particularly for weddings and High School proms, with hair accessories designed to suit all budgets and tastes. I love a challenge and will happily scour the real life shops, as well as the www ones for that one special bead to incorporate into your design. I work closely with my customers when commissioned to make a piece and love making people's sparkly dreams a reality! Please get in touch with your ideas - all design consultation is provided free of charge & you will be pleasantly surprised at how affordable a bespoke piece can be.
Much of my inspiration comes from nature and if you've ever visited Avebury, you'll see where I'm coming from with my “Tree of Life” design. I also love the ancient art of chainmailing, and offer many maille designs, using traditional techniques with a modern twist.
The learning process continues and new products are made available, as soon as the techniques pass my strict quality control demands! Keep watching for many new sparkly wonders to come - and some not so sparkly, as I love exploring the qualities of different materials and using some unexpected ones to make my jewellery and accessories!
