Unique Lake District map journal, made from a continuous section of a genuine Bartholomew's vintage map which is at least 50 years old. Such a beautiful area!

If you've been looking for something a bit different that is genuinely interesting, beautiful and hand crafted, then look no further! These notebooks make lovely presents for people who have their own special places, such as where they were born; where they met their partner or got married; a favourite holiday place and many other memory-making moments.

  • The journal is handmade concertina-style to my own original design
  • It features: Whitehaven, Bassenthwaite, Derwent Water, Ullswater, and Appleby.
  • It measures about 7 1/2" by 4". (18.5 cm by 11.5 cm)
  • There are 60 pages of paper firmly stitched into the "valleys": 20 pages of plain paper; 20 lined and 20 squared.

As you would imagine, there are some small signs of wear - after all, the map has been in use for over 50 years! But the quality of the colours is just lovely and it is a real piece of nostalgia that you could study for hours!

There are over 50 different maps in this Bartholomews series of UK maps and each one makes 3 journals so there are a lot more to choose from. So please have a browse at the others in my store but if you don't see what you want, please ask!  All of the maps are from the 1940s,1950s and early 1960s. Towns were smaller and there are no motorways!

Materials Used :
